German International Cooperation Agency is going to support “Smart City” project of Yerevan Municipality

The summit of the “E-Governance for Citizen-Oriented and Transparent Administrative Processes” program of the Germany International Cooperation Agency was held in the capital of Georgia-Tbilisi on April 17-18. Yerevan Municipality “Technology Management Center of Yerevan” CJSC took part in the summit too. Representatives of Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Ukraine took part in the summit and the head of Yerevan Municipality “Technology Management Center of Yerevan” CJSC Sargis Manukyan referred in his report to the “Smart City” project presented by him during the same format meeting held in November of last year. “Smart City” project was included in the best three ones of 20 suggestions and got the opportunity for realization. The priorities of the realization of the mentioned above project were discussed. The project presented by Yerevan Municipality (BIG DATA FOR URBAN PLANNING) was approved by the majority of the participants of the summit, and the Germany International Cooperation of Agency (GIZ) expressed willingness to provide financing for expert involvement and implementation. It should be noted “E-Governance for Citizen-Oriented and Transparent Processes” program in Armenia is coordinated by Germany International Cooperation Agency “Good Local Self-Governance in South Caucasus” program.
