Yerevan and Los Angeles Sign Memorandum of Understanding: Digital Transformation on the Agenda
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, who is in the United States with an official visit, met with his colleague, Los Angeles Mayor Ms. Karen Bass.
The mayors highlighted the use of information technologies in various areas of urban economy on the agenda of bilateral cooperation.
Mayor Tigran Avinyan expressed confidence that the experience and success of Los Angeles in mentioned-above sphres will be useful for Yerevan, which is on its way of digital transformation.
Mayor Karen Bass, in turn, noted that Los Angeles supports its sister-city Yerevan and is ready to share its experience and "smart" solutions for the implementation of the initiated reforms.
The official meeting was followed by the ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding. The agenda includes digital transformation.
Within the scope of the signed document the cooperation will aim at providing high-quality services and developing "smart" solutions via using technology. The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Ted Ross, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the City of Los Angeles and General Manager of the Information Technology Agency (ITA), and Sargis Manukyan, the Director of "Technology Management Center of Yerevan City" CJSC.
