Yerevan Considers Implmentation of Smart E-System of Traffic Management
The issues related to the implementation of electronic systems to make traffic organization maximally safe and regulated were discussed during the meeting with Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and the representatives of the Chinese company “Hisense”.
The Mayor stated that the city authorities are interested in new digital solutions and are taking steps to develop smart systems. The sales manager of “Hisense” in the Middle East Etan Mai and the person in charge for solutions Frankie Yang introduced the company's operations and noted that with more than 25 years of experience, traffic in most major Chinese cities, including the capital Beijing, is managed by the company's "smart » systems. The guests also presented certain studies done in Yerevan.
Effective management of traffic lights capacity will allow to increase the average speed of vehicles while also increasing the security level. The specialists also expressed their belief that the installation of the new system will contribute to solving the environmental problem of the city.
Expressing gratitude for the work done, the Mayor noted that the electronic traffic management system is an important component of the “Safe and Smart City” projects. For this purpose, regular meetings are organized with major international leading companies in the field to localize the best solutions.
