Working conference related to working out the conception of "Smart city"
The working conference related to working out the conception of "Smart city" for Yerevan was held within the frames of "IT application in the process of disaster risk reduction" program being implemented within the scope of Yerevan Municipality and UNO Development Program. The representatives of Yerevan Municipality, the UNO Development Program, “Technology Management Center of the City of Yerevan” CJSC, the RA Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, international organizations and financial establishments, NGOs and unions, as well as the expert of the sphere. The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Development and Investment Programs Tigran Sargsyan, greeting the guests said that application of modern attitudes and technologies to ensure save and comfortable conditions for townspeople and guests of the capital, to increase the quality of services, to provide effective management of existing means is of high importance for Yerevan. The aim of the conception is to use new technologies in city economy management so as to settle the challenges rooted before the city, to increate the quality of life of the population, to promote proportional development, to increase the effectiveness of the dialogue between the Municipality and citizens, to ensure endurable and safe urban environment, to increase the level of awareness and so on. During the conference the organizers presented the results of the previous meeting and afterwards were divided into three thematic groups and revealed the challenges, problems, priorities related to the sphere, the actions to be taken in this regard, the expected results and so on. The results will be summarized and worked out in teamwork with Yerevan Municipality.
